Raymond Terrace Central is pleased to share an important update from Port Stephens Council regarding the ongoing improvements in the Raymond Terrace CBD. The Council has made significant progress, with the majority of the works now complete. They extend their gratitude to everyone for their patience throughout this development phase.
This week, on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 February 2024, Port Stephens Council has arranged for an independent contractor to conduct a community survey on-site.
The focus of this survey will be the recently completed public space enhancements on William Street, King Street, and Sturgeon Street. These improvements include the addition of new seating, improved entry and wayfinding signage, beautiful landscaping, public art installations, and updated car parking spaces designed for accessibility.
However, there are still a few tasks remaining. These include repairs to the vandalised Sturgeon Street bus stop, finalising landscaping near the PCYC on Sturgeon Street, and minor maintenance of pavements and seating by Market Place on William Street. The Council plans to schedule these final works shortly.
For any questions or further information, Port Stephens Council encourages you to reach out. You can contact them via email, call at 4988 0255, or visit their website at portstephens.nsw.gov.au.
Raymond Terrace Central appreciates your understanding as these improvements are made to enhance our community space.
